Perkasie is about as local as it gets for us. We are in Hilltown, a few minutes down the road, and a substantial part of the work we have done over four decades has been in Perkasie borough and the townships around it. A fair number of the driveways here we paved the first time.
That matters more than it sounds. When we quote a drive in Perkasie there is a reasonable chance we know what is under it, because we or someone we know put it there. And when something goes wrong on a job three miles from the yard, we are back the same day rather than the following week.

Perkasie borough has the older, tighter housing — narrower drives, closer neighbours, some alley access. East Rockhill, West Rockhill, and Hilltown around it have the acreage, the long approaches, and the clay soils that decide how deep a base has to be. We work both constantly.

How quickly can you get out to look?
Usually within a day or two for Perkasie — we are in Hilltown, a few minutes away, and pass through most weeks. Scheduling the actual work depends on the season; spring and autumn are the busiest and worth booking ahead.
Do you know the soil conditions around here?
Fairly well, after forty years. Much of the ground around Perkasie and the Rockhills is clay-heavy — it holds water, softens when saturated, and heaves in a freeze, so base depths need to reflect that. We still dig and look on every job, because it varies over surprisingly short distances, but we are not guessing from a standard spec.
Did you pave my driveway originally?
Possibly — we have been working this area since 1985 and a good number of the drives in and around the borough are ours. If you tell us the address we can often say, and knowing what was built and when genuinely helps in deciding whether it needs repair or replacement now.
Do you do small jobs?
Yes. A few cracks filled or a single patch is worth doing and worth doing properly, and we would rather keep a driveway going than wait until it needs replacing. Small local work is most of what keeps a business like ours running.
