Getting a Quote

What happens after
you get in touch

We come out and look. That is not a sales visit — it is the only way anyone can give you a number that holds, because what a job costs is decided by what is under the surface and where the water goes, and neither of those is visible from a satellite photo.

After the visit you get an itemised quote in writing, usually within 48 hours. It states square footage, excavation depth, compacted stone depth, asphalt thickness, and what happens at the edges and the apron — so you can put it next to another contractor’s quote and compare something real rather than two numbers.

There is no charge and no obligation

Estimates are free and we do not ask for a deposit to produce one. If the honest answer is that your driveway needs crack filling rather than replacing, that is what the quote will say, even though it is the smaller job.

Before You Call

Useful things
to have to hand

None of these are required — we can work it out on site. They just make the first conversation faster.

  • Rough dimensions

Paces are fine. Length and width of the drive or lot gets us to a ballpark before anyone drives anywhere.

  • What it is doing now

Cracking, sinking, holding water, crumbling at the edges. The symptom tells us whether it is a surface problem or a base problem.

  • How old it is, if you know

And whether it has been sealed or patched before. Repair history is genuinely useful information.

  • What uses it

Two cars is a different structure from a drive that takes an RV, a horse trailer, or delivery trucks.

Questions

Questions before
you call

Do you charge for estimates?

No. Estimates are free, we do not ask for a deposit to produce one, and there is no obligation attached. We would rather quote ten jobs and win three than pressure anyone into the first one.

How soon can you come out?

Usually within a few days, and often the same week — we are in Hilltown and most of the area we serve is inside half an hour. Scheduling the actual work depends on the season; spring and autumn are the busiest and worth booking ahead.

Can you quote from photos?

We can give you a rough range from photographs, and for small repairs that is sometimes enough. For anything involving a full driveway or lot we will want to walk it, because base condition and drainage decide the price and neither shows up in a photo.

Do you work in winter?

Asphalt plants shut down through the coldest months, so hot-mix paving generally runs April through October here. We will make a genuine hazard safe in winter and book you in for spring. Estimates we will do any time of year.

What areas do you cover?

Bucks and Montgomery County, from our yard in Hilltown. That covers Doylestown, Warrington, Quakertown, Perkasie, Sellersville, Chalfont, Lansdale, New Hope, and the townships around them. If you are within about thirty minutes of Hilltown, call and ask.
