Forty years on
the same roads
We're not a franchise and we don't sub out your job. The name on the truck is the family that shows up, and we've been paving these townships since 1985.

A small company
that stayed small
L&M has been paving Bucks and Montgomery County out of Hilltown since 1985. We have had chances to grow into something bigger — more crews, a wider radius, a sales team between the customer and the work — and we have turned them down, because every one of those changes puts distance between the person who quotes your job and the person who does it.
So we stayed the size we are. The owner walks your property, writes your quote, and is on site while it is paved. If something is wrong you are not raising a ticket; you are calling the person who was standing there.
What that means in practice
It means we turn work away in the busy season rather than take on more than we can supervise. It means we will tell you when a repair will do instead of a replacement, which costs us the bigger sale and has kept this business running for four decades. And it means when we say we will be there Tuesday, we are there Tuesday.
Why we are fussy about the base
Most of what decides whether a driveway lasts twenty-five years or eight is buried where nobody will ever see it. That makes it the easiest place in this trade to save money, and the reason so many drives around here start failing in year five. We build the base for the ground it sits on and the vehicles it carries, and we put the depth in writing so you can compare our quote against anyone else’s on something real.

Four things we will
not compromise on
-
The owner is on every job
Not a salesman who hands you to a crew you have never met. The person who quoted your job is there while it is paved, every time.
-
One written price, scope included
Square footage, excavation depth, compacted stone depth, asphalt thickness, and what happens at the edges. No surprise change orders halfway through.
-
Built for Pennsylvania weather
Base depth, drainage, and mix specs chosen for forty freeze-thaw cycles a winter — not for the cheapest route to a finished surface.
-

Questions about
working with us
How long have you been in business?
Since 1985, from the same yard in Hilltown, under the same family. A good number of the driveways in and around Perkasie, Sellersville, and the Rockhills we paved the first time — which occasionally means we are back replacing our own work after twenty-five years, and we take that as the best reference we have.
Do you subcontract the work?
No. Our crews are our crews, they have worked together for years, and the owner is on site. This is the single most common thing that separates contractors in this trade, and it is worth asking anyone you get a quote from.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes — registered as a Pennsylvania home improvement contractor and fully insured, and we will give you the certificate before work starts rather than after you ask twice. For commercial work we can provide certificates naming your entity.
What if something goes wrong after you finish?
You call us and we come back. We are ten minutes from most of the area we serve, which is not a small thing — a contractor two counties away has a very different incentive about whether your callback is worth the drive.
Will you tell me if I do not need the work?
Yes, and we do it often enough that it is worth saying plainly: if your base is sound and crack filling buys you six more years, that is what the quote will say, even though a replacement is the far bigger job. In a town this size, a reputation is worth more than one inflated invoice.
